Naturopathic doctors have eight years of post-secondary education which includes earning a university degree, training at an accredited naturopathic medical institution, and successful completion of licensing and board certification exams. In Ontario, naturopathic doctors are registered with the Ontario Associations of Naturopathic Doctors and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors and regulated by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.​
